Who we are
Sarajevo Debates is, both, a platform for Gen Z voices and the country’s first debates initiative of its kind. We want to educate, train and prepare Bosnia’s youth to be able to handle the topics that plague both their country and the world. We want to equip them with arguments, skills, and the confidence to be able to answer the big questions of our time. Through an intensive cohort program and public sessions, Sarajevo Debates offers young people a unique opportunity to engage with academics, policymakers, and international voices. Our inaugural cohort works with mentors in critical thinking, media literacy, historical understanding, and content creation to develop projects that contribute to public dialogue in Bosnia and Herzegovina — and broader.
