Who We Serve

We work with passionate, eager-to-learn, and creative Bosnians aged 16-25 through our intensive cohort program, while offering learning and development opportunities to all young people through our open platform. Our participants come from diverse backgrounds, united by their commitment to building a better Bosnia and Herzegovina — and world.

Our Mission

Sarajevo Debates is a pioneering initiative aimed at empowering young voices in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We believe in the power of informed dialogue, critical thinking, and active citizenship to shape a brighter future for our country.

What We Do

Through our innovative program, we:

  1. Educate: Provide workshops on critical thinking, media literacy, and effective communication.

  2. Engage: Facilitate debates on crucial issues facing Bosnia and Herzegovina (and the world).

  3. Empower: Offer mentorship and resources for youth to develop and express their ideas.

  4. Connect: Build networks between young leaders and established professionals through both our core program and open platform initiatives.

Our program is built on four key pillars: Critical Thinking, Media Literacy, Content Creation, and Historical Understanding.
